Can you please disclose the following information:

1. The number of emergency callouts eventually logged as meter tampering or bypassing electricity from January 2021 to now - giving a month-by-month breakdown. If costs don’t allow you to go back that far, please provide data from January 2023.

2. Any details - if available - logged in the report - i.e. where, when, how the metre was bypassed and why.

Our Response:

Currently the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Incident Recording System (IRS) has insufficient facilities for the comprehensive recording, and subsequent analysis, of fires involving meter tampering or bypassing electricity. Therefore, due to the specific information requested, CFRS cannot provide the data requested.
