Fire crews came to the aid of a mobility scooter user who became stuck in surface water. Firefighters moved the scooter to safety and stayed with the person until transport arrived. Thankfully, they were unharmed and advised to have the scooter checked over at home.
We would like to remind everyone to be cautious when charging electrical mobility products (including e-bikes and e-scooters) if they have been damaged or waterlogged, as this can pose a fire risk. For more safety advice, please visit the link below and always follow the manufacturer’s guidance.
