Crews were called to reports of two separate road traffic collisions at the same location, involving a total of four vehicles. All persons were accounted for on arrival.
Firefighters extinguished a fire involving one of the vehicles, which was on its side, using a hose reel jet. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.
Two casualties were assessed at the scene by paramedics.
A full road closure was put in place and managed by police to maintain safety while the incident was dealt with.
