One fire engine from Alsager, and one of our four weekday fire engines

Crews were called to one car that was well-alight on the M6. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze, and two lanes of the motorway were closed while the incident was dealt with. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.
The incident was then handed over to police.
