Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish a van on fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hotspots.
As the van was carrying cleaning equipment and chemicals, specialist environmental protection equipment was deployed to prevent contaminated water run-off from entering nearby drains. Once the incident was made safe, responsibility for clearing the run-off was handed over to the cleaning company.
