One fire engine from Wilmslow and one of our four weekday fire engines
Details
Crews attended a fire involving a refuse collection vehicle in Wilmslow. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus gained access to the rear of the vehicle and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
They then assisted in moving the vehicle to a safe location to ensure the fire was fully extinguished, using a thermal imaging camera to identify and monitor any remaining hotspots. The incident was subsequently handed over to the local council.
