Crews were called to reports of a smoke alarm sounding at a property in Northwich.
Firefighters entered the smoke-logged house wearing breathing apparatus and carried out a thorough search.
A high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke from the property. Two dogs were safely rescued, and all occupants were accounted for.
The incident is believed to have been caused by a power tool that had been left unattended while charging.
