Firefighters were called to rescue two ducklings that had fallen down a drain in Widnes.
Crews removed the drain cover and entered the drain, safely rescuing one of the ducklings. The second duckling was carefully coaxed to safety.
As the mother duck was not in the area, arrangements were made for both ducklings to be taken into the care of a local wildlife rescue centre.
