Details
Fire crews attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
Two out of the three casualties from one of the vehicles were able to get out with some assistance, but one remained trapped. Firefighters worked to release the remaining casualty, who was then taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
Police were also in attendance to manage the scene, and a full road closure was in place in both directions.
