Question Asked:

Please answer the following questions for the calendar years of: 2021, 2022 and 2023:

1. Please tell me each occasion your fire and rescue service responded to a genuine incident (not a hoax call) at a university over this period?  Please tell me the date of the incident, the name of the university, the nature of the incident (this could be a fire, or non-fire incident, such as flooding, a person stuck in a lift etc), exactly where the incident occurred at the university and how many deaths/injuries were caused by the incident.  Please send me fire and incident reports for each incident.

Please find below the information requested regarding any incidents attended by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service in 2021, 2022 and 2023 at universities.

There was one incident attended by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service during this period.  This was initially classed as a lift rescue but was dealt with before the arrival of Cheshire Fire and Rescue.

Please be aware that the following criteria was applied when searching for the relevant information:

• Property Type – Building >> Non Residential >> Education >> College/University – College addresses were removed from the dataset

• Incident Type – Any Fire or Special Service Incident Type – False Alarms were removed from the dataset
