Please can you confirm how many incidents that Cheshire Fire Brigade have attended since January 2023, that involves the accidental mixing of chemicals in peoples homes? Please can you confirm the range of chemicals and which were the main ones that were identified?
Please can you confirm how many of these dangerous fumes incidents were caused by the mixing of domestic chemicals in the local sewage system? Again which chemicals were identified?
Can you confirm has there been an increase in the last five years for these types of dangerous fumes incidents?
During these incidents was the water companies made aware of these incidents and what was there response and action?
Currently the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Incident Recording System (IRS) has insufficient facilities for the comprehensive recording, and subsequent analysis, of chemicals being mixed. Therefore, due to the specific information asked for, CFRS cannot provide the data requested.
