Could you please provide the following information, from the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service for the periods:

1st August 2019 to 31st July 2020:

1. The total number of carbon monoxide (CO) incidents reported to your service during this period.

2. The total number of carbon monoxide related incidents your service attended, where carbon monoxide was suspected or confirmed, during the same timeframe.

Due to the configuration of the system at Northwest Fire Control we are unable to provide the specific information that you have requested.

A call to Northwest Fire Control is given an incident type when it is received and logged on the mobilising system. The only incident type specific to Carbon Monoxide is CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM - LIFE RISK/NON LIFE RISK. The list of these incidents will contain ones which were attended and ones which were not attended. The incidents attended will have a report completed on the Incident Recording System. They may not have had carbon monoxide present when attended though but were initially recorded as such.
