I am hoping to receive a copy of the incident logs from the derelict building fire in Crewe on the 9th of August 2024 which saw the total attendance of 15 fire engines to Catherine Street.
A request for an IRS (incident report) does not fall within the scope of a Freedom of Information request as these reports are chargeable and dealt with under Business as Usual. They are not released to the public.
Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service - Our Policies and Procedures
The normal practice for Fire and Rescue Services releasing incident information in the form of an incident report is that if a person has had their property damaged by fire or if they own or rent the property then they can have a copy of the incident report free of charge. If this applies to you then please contact CFRS reception desk.
Other parties such as insurers may request the report however, this is chargeable.
Outcome: Refused
FOI responded to within timescales: YES
