Question Asked:

I would like to receive the number of fire service callouts for false fire alarms to medium- and high-rise purpose-built residential flats at the same address in your area. Specifically:

1. The number of callouts per building where multiple incidents have occurred. Please note, I do not require the specific addresses. I understand calls may relate to different flats within the same block, but I am interested only in the total number of callouts per building.

2. A month-by-month breakdown of these callouts for the past three years (January 2022 to the most recent month available)

I am not requesting full incident reports or personal details, only the total number of callouts.

• There is no specific category for medium or high rise purpose built residential flats on the Incident Recording System. Therefore, the property types below have been used to provide the data requested:

  - Building>>Dwelling>>Purpose Built Flat/Maisonette - multiple occupancy>>4 to 9 storeys

  - Building>>Dwelling>>Purpose Built Flat/Maisonette - multiple occupancy>>10 or more storeys

• Any incident recorded as a false alarm with the reason of ‘Fire alarm due to Apparatus’ or ‘Good Intent False alarm>>Fire’ has been provided

• If a building has had multiple attendances throughout the period then it has been included e.g. one attendance in 2022 and one attendance in 2025
